2015 Weber Vineyard Pinot Noir
A wise man once said never judge a Pinot Noir by its color. By the looks of it, the 2015 Weber is almost slightly pale in color and based on that you might anticipate the wine to be especially light on the palate. While Weber is never “big” by most definitions, the color really belies how the wine shows in the mouth. With ample weight and a supple texture and depth the Weber packs a lot of flavor in a more delicate package. A delicious and versatile wine that will pair well with almost anything from seafood to poultry, game birds or even pork and lamb.
Shimmering red. Lively and focused on the nose, displaying intense redcurrant, cherry and floral scents that pick up hints of exotic spices and blood orange. Blends power and delicacy smoothly on the palate, which displays an array of mineral-laced red fruit, spice and floral qualities. Slowly puts on weight with air and finishes very long and spicy, with silky tannins and a late touch of vanilla conveying appealing sweetness.
