2021 Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir
From the same block I have used since 2011 this 100% Wadensvil clone Pinot Noir was aged 11-months in 33% New French oak with the balance in 1 and 2yr old barrels. The lifted, and perfumy aromatics of the Wadensvil clone are on full display and only excentuated by the suave elegance of the 2017 vintage. With all the underlying structure and intensity that Shea brings to the table this wine once again delivers power and elegance in an impeccably balanced package with a long finish.
93pts James Suckling
Attractive aromas of blueberries and black cherries with dried orange peel and savory herbs. Crunchy and juicy, with supple tannins and bright acidity. Textural and lingering, with delicious fruit in the finish.
